I do a lot of cooking, but since I live alone, I don't always have someone to share my meals with. Thus, I bring food into work. I'll leave desserts and breakfast items in the kitchen and sometimes, I'll plate up a special appetizer — like smoked salmon crostini — for us to enjoy at our desks during the afternoon.

Working out in the morning is always difficult for me, and even more so with the sun rising an hour later thanks to daylight saving. Due to my mom duties, I cannot take advantage of the extra evening light, so mornings it is.
After talking to celeb trainer Valerie Waters, I am more inspired to set my alarm, and then get up and go, for simple non-fitness reasons.

Keeping your head clear after a rough day at work isn't easy for anyone. It's crucial to let go of the workday blues when you leave the office by taking time for yourself, but the key is to not rely on retail therapy. There are plenty of ways to detach from the day's events, and none of these ideas involve retail therapy — no need to make things worse by spending money you may not have.

Nobody ever said being a working mom would be easy. It takes some carefully coordinated scheduling, a lot of trust and nerves of steel to make it all come together each day. While some mamas make the choice to stay home once their baby is born and others return to work, there is a subset that chooses to return to the workforce, but to a less grueling schedule – one that does not offer as much career advancement, but allows mom to fulfill her desire or need to work while having the flexibility to attend school plays, soccer practice and field trips.
